The Pakistan-Afghanistan media collaboration initiative is aimed at enhancing co-operation between Afghan and Pakistani media organizations and journalists with a view to improve the quality and quantity of reporting on complex cross-border and regional issues.
Media houses interested in collaboration with their counterparts in the other country can apply to a Cooperation Fund that has been created to facilitate joint research. The Fund will cover expenses related to the project proposed, such as travel to and accommodation in Afghanistan or Pakistan, interpretation, local transportation and other investigative reporting expenses.
A 14-member Advisory Board comprising renowned media personalities in each country will meet regularly to consider the applications and select the winning ones.
This website serves as a channel to keep journalists and media houses in Afghanistan and Pakistan informed about the media landscape and partnering opportunities in the other country and to publicise the output of the joint collaborations. Click to Apply
